It is the mission of The Bibliophiles: An African American Book Club to promote, preserve and share the love of organized readings of literature of the African Diaspora to multi-generational groups so that its benefits may be derived throughout the globe and for future generations.
We set about this mission through active participation. We therefore devote ourselves to:
- Reading, promoting and preserving literature of the African Diaspora.
- Helping individuals and organizations learn more about literature of the African Diaspora.
- Providing advocacy for writers and artists of the African Diaspora.
- Expanding private sector support for the publication, promotion and preservation of literature of the African Diaspora.
